I just wanted to share this little Christmas tidbit. It seems to be a thing on the main street in each town (the Brits call it "high street"), to decorate by putting a christmas tree in a flagpole bracket. So as you walk down the street, trees are sticking out of the buildings!

Christmas in England

London was calling...
Dec 7, 2008
This weekend we popped down to London for the 2nd time & saw Spamalot. (Included is a pict from our first London show as well- Wicked.) Spamalot was good, but the theatre's balcony seats were so high up! We were higher than the lights. We had to lean forward to see most of the show. I've sat in the last row at Broadway shows & was never as high as these seats! So lesson learned- don't buy the cheapest seats available because London theatre's have seats in the clouds.
We also visited Harrod's & the store has a Krispy Kreme in it! A full on Krispy Kreme with a conveyor belt of donuts being made. I found that pretty funny.
And as a happy taste of home, we stopped in Starbucks. I've been really missing this time of year when they have the red holiday cups... going in for a nice warm drink on a cold day... a cozy Starbucks... a holiday drink...mmmmmm. Probably a silly thing to miss Starbucks (since they're every few steps in the States), but in the countryside of East Anglia, they're nowhere to be found.
